The Commercial Scene Research Institute is a non-governmental organization jointly initiated by Fengchao Scene Creation and Huang Zhanglin Studio in January 2019, which combines practical experience with professional expertise, focusing on niche areas. It comprises six scene research groups: 【Real Estate and Commerce】, 【Residential Demonstration Zones】, 【Space and Design】, 【New Commercial Spaces】, 【Community and Content】, and 【New Town Communities】. These groups are led by senior experts from influential enterprises specializing in shopping centers, community commerce, townships, urban renewal, and other specialized fields, conducting systematic and in-depth thematic research and publishing relevant research reports.

The Commercial Scene Research Institute hosts at least one industry summit annually—the Commercial Scene Summit—and releases a trend report summarizing the year's research findings. Additionally, the institute organizes city/professional summits and related courses and industry exchanges on an ad hoc basis, aiming to promote technological advancement within specialized sectors.
